How do I get a male and female winterberry holly?Updated a month ago
Holly bushes are a wonderful choice for any garden! To ensure that you receive a male and female holly, both plants must be added to your cart before checkout.
Add a Mr. Poppins® Winterberry Holly (Ilex) to get a male plant. Male plants won’t develop any fruit, but you must plant both a male and a female to get fruit on the female.
For a female plant, you can choose from Berry Poppins® Winterberry Holly (Ilex), Berry Heavy® Winterberry Holly (Ilex), and Berry Heavy® Gold Winterberry Holly (Ilex).
One male plant can pollinate up to five female varieties. Simply plant them all within about 50’/15.24m of one another and you should be good to grow!
